This year Ad 2 Madison is participating in YPWeek – a week dedicated to young professionals across Wisconsin. We’re THRILLED to participate and show off what great things Madison has to offer while bonding with our fellow young professionals in Madison and throughout the state. In preparation for YPWeek (April 20-28), with an extra day of fun this year!) – we figured we’d give you a list of why Madison is great for young professionals.

  1. The food scene is : Madison may not be known as a “foodie” city across the country but we can vouch that the food here is fantastic. Between seasonal restaurant weeks featuring several top-notch restaurants, a chef who just beat Bobby Flay and a great food cart scene, we never go hungry.
  2. Sports: Whether you’re a true sports fan or not, there’s endless sports entertainment in Madison. From the obvious Badger games to the Duck Blind at a Mallard’s game, Madison has all of your standard bases covered (pun intended). But we even have some unique sports like the Madison Radicals, an ultimate frisbee team, and kick-ass roller derby teams like the Mad Rollin’ Dolls.
  3. Adult beverages: Did you think we’d talk about Madison without talking about the amazing breweries we have? We’d give you a list but it would take too long. Take our word for it, the beer in this town is great any season, including outdoor patios at some of our favorites like Capital Brewery and Wisconsin Brewing Company. But we also have some great local distilleries like Yahara Bay Distillery and Old Sugar Distillery
  4. It’s educational: We obviously have UW-Madison, but that’s not where the education stops. We have a huge selection of museums, several of which are FREE. You can get your history on at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum or Wisconsin Historical Museum. Check out some art at the Chazen or Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Go learn stuff with your friends, then grab a pint 😉
  5. There’s plenty to do: If you’re not a sports fan or a museum fan, there’s still plenty to do. We’re surrounded by water so we have tons of opportunity to kayak, canoe and paddleboard. Take a hike through the Arboretum. Stop by one of our favorite places, Revel, and make some DIY crafts! Check out the farmer’s market on the square! Do we need to go on?

And if that wasn’t enough to convince you, come hang with us and the other young professionals in Madison during YPWeek. We’ll be exploring some of the great things Madison has to offer. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
